Having a problem with the vb code in the hidden form and when another form that is open, gets an error msg and the user acknowldges the error whether or not is a msge error or a vb Error, the Access 2000 mdb will shut down before the time expires to shut down automaticly.What am I missing ?Bill B.

This is a must for Health Care Applications This is an excellent addition to programs which run in a Health Care environment. Our problem involved therapists opening up scheduling programs on a Nursing Unit and failing to close a patient's schedule, thereby leaving other users locked out of that record. This also is not in the spirit of HIPPA. This form allows much better privacy management. Only a few glitches, such as one of the programs unrelated macros activating the form for some unknown reason. The fix required the macro closing the form in it's first step and in the last step opening the form again in Hidden ...

Problems Getting AgataSoft Pro to work From the outset... This is a smart straight-forward application wich I thought was the answer to my energy saving quest. Won`t work with printer I purchased Shut Down Expert for the "hibernates/awakens" feature. However, after the computer awakens my deskjet D1320 printer will not work. Prior to installing SDE, the printer worked fine. I must restart the computer for the printer to work after hibernation. SDE tech support says that it's the printer driver. HP printer support, after extensive trouble shooting, said to uninstall SDE, that the SDE software was the cause of the problem since the printer works fine without it installed. So, I'm left with the "shut down/restart" option if I continue to use SDE. I'm not a satisfied customer ...

Thank you for autoshutdown, but it did not perform well with Vista. Ultimately I found a small program call shutdown.exe (a windows item) it worked well functioned within batch files, and I was able to use it within task scheduler. RebootEx It would be nice to be able to schedule a reboot and not just a shutdown.

Supplanted by the "shutdown" Command RebootEx is a fine program. It does exactly what it says it does, and does it reasonably well. However, the specific problem that I was using RebootEx to solve was more elegantly resolved via the command "shutdown" and its various switches. The specific issue was me trying to schedule chkdsk via a batch file, and I finally got it working. However, during my short usage of the program, I found the scheduling to be rather crude, as it is only possible to set the schedule hourly, with no ability to adjust the minute of the hour whatsoever. (missing a very important feature) Hello; You need to have a timer, so that I can shutdown, hibernate, etc... at a certain time, or in a certain amount of time. i.e: - hibernate at 3:00 am; - shutdown in 2 hours 35 minutes. ... etc. Otherwise, the utility is of no use to me at all. PC Shutdown is exactly what I was looking for. A simple easy to use and functional program for timed shutdown on completion of downloads. Highly recommended, have tried others that simply do not work. Thanks heaps.

It works very well, the only thing that I would improve is the fact that you have to activate the program every day for it to shut your pc down. There is no function for a day by day shut down without starting Manage PC Shutdown up every time. Other than that it works.

Not working I tried to install it on my laptop to control my desktop which I used as my server for files. But it doesn't work when I tried to restart or shut it down.

Fire wall. If the fire wall windows XP is on, my server 2003 and an other pc with xp can not shutdown a workstation, I have open the port 4444 and nothing.

Could not get it to work We could not get it to work. It seemed to work but then it never shut down. We tried various methods, read the text files and then finally just gave up and used something else in a command line and made a batch file for schedule. But I like the application - I think I just couldn't figure out how to make it work.

catchup microsoft! Nice program. found no adware, spyware, or worms... but still buyer beware which is nice because its free, and yes it works. i even can use it without a username password which is why i downloaded in the firstplace... enjoy!
